Leadership Training with Missions Door’s Campus Ambassadors

​The chief operating officer for The SHP Foundation, Elliot Sands supported the foundation’s work in developing low-income housing and combatting homelessness in the San Francisco Bay area. Outside of his work with The SHP Foundation, Elliot Sands serves as a board member with the charitable organization Missions Door.

Established in 1948, Missions Door brings the Gospel to more than 25 countries worldwide. Additionally, the organization operates a Campus Ambassadors program to minister to college students in the United States and Mexico. The program invites students to train as servant leaders with local churches, with the potential to continue as leaders, interns, and staff members with the Campus Ambassadors program.

Over the past three years, Missions Door has seen a 300 percent increase in participation in the Campus Ambassadors program. Additionally, the program helped facilitate a 38 percent increase in baptisms in 2020 alone.
